The International Symbol of Access turned 50 years old in 2018. While this iconic wheelchair has helped millions around the world, it can also cause issues for those with invisible disabilities.

Since 93% of disabled people don’t use a wheelchair, we thought it was time to start a conversation about change. Check out the full collection at visability93.com or follow @visability93

So far the social campaign has had mentions on FastCo, Design Week, Typeroom, Design Taxi, Campaign, Creative Bloq, Dexigner and Digital ArtsRichard Branson also joined in on the conversation.

To begin the debate we designed Symbols of Access for all invisible disability. The symbols are designs to make a point about diversity in disability, sparking debate and inspiration for a new International Symbol of Access.
